So the guy backs in to your trailer and drives away. You stay calm, deal with it and then help him get backed in. Well done!

My highest priority is finding a parking spot where I am least likely to get hit. Usually that will be wwwaaaayyyyy in the back of the lot, where the buffet waddlers fear to park.

IA guy needs to get comfortable backing into the hard to impossible spots. I do not know how many times I pulled into a truckstop that there was just one spot that was next to impossible to get in, and I would have a spot to sleep. Seattle, tacoma area comes to mind. From what I have been reading here, with all the paid and reserved parking you guys now have to deal with, it sounds like that would be much more important these days than in mine.

Definatly number 1 priority. Then what comes after that is making sure there is nothing in front of u where u can get blocked in. Scale, curb, end of row etc. Sometimes its like putting a jigsaw puzzle together lol

That don't always work. I watched a lady covenant driver take out a cabover at the back of the parking lot at the old giant truckstop. She was not even anywhere close to the point of backing up when she just turned and nailed it, and she had 200 feet or more of empty parking lot in front of her.
