'12 Prostar with the Navistar 13. Not even over 4,000 and I'm having problems. 1st gear, alright, no problems. Put it in 2nd and had no pull. Stoped, tried again. Still no pull. Started over again, this time using the clutch. Clutched out, rev, clutch in. No pull. Rolled up to the next stop light, started off in third, BINGO. Had it back. So, taking off from the fuel island I tried 2nd again. Still not pulling. Rolled over to the McD, unhooked, tried it at the exit. No pull still. At this point I'm about to call International and see what the problem is. Hook back up and go in to eat. Whats the deal?
2nd gear has NO power.

Just the one gear?
Wierd!
Did you try cussing it out in French? It might not be bi-lingual!!!!!
-
Just the one gear, got a time set to put it in the shop Thursday.
French? um... bonjour? -
OK...now that you've been introduced...put her in time-out so she can get a spanking!!!!

Naughty naughty...

What's the mileage? Still under warranty? You might be getting a rebuild.
-
The word warranty.... I'll get this: "It's nothing."
-
So your saying in second the truck won't move? If second won't move the truck, then try the same gear in high range and see if it still won't move. Anyway, it sounds like something is broken in the trans and time for a visit to the dealer.
-
Set to be thrown in the shop Thursday morning, meaning I need to make sure I can be there Wednesday night. No, it won't move in that gear. It will rev but won't move.

i drove a mack dump truck once. super 10. that when put in reverse. it totally locked up. not even forward would work. the truck had to be pulled backwards in neutral to get it to unlock and drive forward.
company drove it to the transmission shop for rebuild. just didn't use reverse.
got taught a lesson in transmissions that day. if it locks up. either forward or back. the trick to unlocking is pull the truck in the direction you drive to lock it. so if it locks up going forward. your only option is drive in reverse. LOL.
like the above post mentioned. if second dont' work. the top gear in second probably also isn't working.
