    • An improper lane change is a career killer. It ranks up there with extreme speed (15 over) and just half a step down from a dui. No reputable company will hire you with that on your record.

Speeding is the real problem for us, then there are accidents, which at the top of the list a roll over on a on/off ramp or turning into a t/s. Then you have the stupid accidents, like taking out a trailer at a shipper.

i have a driver who has had bad luck with tires and he has a lot of points but not a point for any other thing.

I remember a long, long time ago, in an orientation far, far away..... they told us if you have an accident or incident within the first 90 days, you will be plagued with them for your driving career. ( statistically )

The one's you listed say "Bad decision maker" to safety.

Not that you can't turn it around. I know our company doesn’t use DAC. Don't know about PSP. They just want DMV print out for last 3 years.

    Try small companies.

That may not work. What all shows on your MVR? Post office only allows so many moving violations and they will pull your access credentials. If you're up against the limit contractors may not want to take that chance.

Just curious, why not get back into law enforcement? You would actually get paid for all the hours you work and Florida needs people for that field of work

I hate that word luck. It's my experience that people make their own luck with their actions and decisions. That driver is doing something that is putting his tires at higher risk than the average joe.

Thanks for ALL the replies guys. Well, still getting denials (even from Schneider who said they wont touch me for 7 years due to the accident I mentioned.) Looks like I spent money for physical and new license for nothing. Stay safe everyone, guess my driving days are done.

EVEN from SNI ? that's sarcasm. They are VERY quick to deny; they refused me years ago (thank God!) for a seatbelt ticket !!! Did you comb Chinatown's list? There's no WAY they all refused you.

You may NOT be able to be selective at the moment, man. Carolina Cargo? TransAm? CFI ?
Worst-case scenario, you could try to get a job as a yard hostler somewhere local, to keep up your skills (and probably enhance them!) as you KEEP trying for other jobs! I'd keep trying.

I'll printout Chinatowns list and see what I can do. I realize that my troubles are mine and mine only. It's not that the companies don't want me, it's the insurance carrier's that are saying no. I totally get it, but it's really all I have. My law enforcement certifications are expired and I don't want to go back to that line of work, even if I could. Thns for the motivation Tomcat. Depressed, but can't give up. I have two beautiful kids that need me......can't quit.
