I'm about to sell my '02 take 3 and want to use the money on financing a newer model Take 3 4 car or upgrading to a 5 car hauler instead. Any recommendations?

You didn't supply a critical piece of information, what are you running for a tractor?

I would probably stick with a 4 car, unless you are looking to upgrade truck in the near future. Will the lanes you frequent support a 5 car trailer better than a 4? Start looking at loads in the areas you now run and make a determination from that. jmho

Any reason you have to have a take 3? They seem poorly built to me compared to a sun country 4 car or a kaufman...

I always thought sun countries had air brakes because I never see Rams pulling them. I'll look into those. I've heard good things about them. I've heard kaufmans aren't that good

Whoops, missed that you're rolling in a dually. Yeah, they have air brakes. My cousin lengthened a 3 axle wedge to get 4 on though, I take it yours is 50' if you only get three?

Mine was a 53. I used to have welded extensions in the front, but a cop told me that I had to remove them because they did not fold. What trailer did he have?

Yeah, he uses folders out front and pull outs in the back.

Not sure what make the wedge was. Would be worth it to get a fab shop to weld you a bracket and bars on if you can buy good folders somewhere

I don't need them anymore. I already sold the trailer. I'm looking for another one. Now I might get a Big Tex 51' with extensions. Any input on these would be great
