With a wedge trailer you get the front extensions that go over the pickup truck and legal or not we go over 53 ft when we open front + back. My trailer weighs 8500 lbs. Your style trailer, which I'd love to have will overload a ram 3500 easily with 4 cars. I'm salivating over the Infinity GN 450 which is a true low profile 4 full size car trailer but I gotta figure out how to upgrade from my 3500 without taking too much of a hit.
Before you ask why I bought a 3500, I did so before I got my cdl because I was planning to stay under 26k.

I agree with you 1000% I'm just stuck because of a bad decision/planning.

That's a good looking truck. Where do you find single axle sleepers? Would rather get one of those over a 5500.

I will be selling off a couple of my tractors/trailers shortly, they ARE high mileage, BUT there are VERY well taken care of and have never hauled over 52,000 gross max, so they have never been abused, they are 2010 Cascadias with 60" sleepers and they are loaded, autos, power everything, no DEF, long WB factory single axle, it would be a great starter truck for what I'm asking 15,000 for the tractor and I have an extra 2015, Sun Country 4 car trailers for 24,000 so for 39,000 a person could have that exact setup, basically for the price of a used pickup.
