I run tall rubber; 1 truck w 3.90 & 1 Truck 3.70.
I'd swap both to 3.55 if a deal came up.
I run local regional NYC/Boston.
3.42 gear ratio

I have a set of 3.90s Eaton’s. I’m about to pull out. Just rebuilt a couple of years ago. They will be going up for sale soon.

Also drove 3.5 hrs one way yesterday to look at a very nice 2011 Mack Pinnacle with an MP8 yesterday and it was a total fail after going through the paperwork.Seems like it was at the dealer every month for electrical issues. Also had the injectors replaced 3 times.
There’s a 2014 Freightliner with a 505hp DD15,619,000 miles,13 speed,240 wheel base, and 3.42 gear ratio just down the street from me.Been wondering if I should go take a look at it.Seems like the ISX 2250 has more problems than the Detroit. The only thing I’m worried about is the 3.42 gear ratio.Last edited: Aug 17, 2018
