Ziggy check out the link for yourself. Im just copying and pasting brother.

So as I read it guys if i'm under 26,001 then I do not have to have a CDL but im stilling using it for commercial use so does that make a difference.
Im under the 26001 but using it for commercial is a CDL required? If you guys don't know I guess I'll have to ask the DMV Tomorrow. Thanks for the great read though. -
feel to free to ask me car questions. I own a small dealership and I know for a fact that hauling is going to pick up guys. The volume is going to raise so I thought It would be a good idea to get some small units. They can haul some short runs and leave the 6-10 car hauling to the pros.

If you look into it further into it it does specify that any trailer over 10,000 commercially registered requires a class a. I don't have the ability to look it up to share now. But I was ticketed in pa. Cost me over $9,000.00. With very good lawyers.

Check your state law. One of the Carolinas required a CDL for any trailer over 10k. There is only a handful of states that do but you have to be licensed in that state for it to apply.

I already have looked into it. There is no federal reg like that. There are state laws but you have to be licensed in that state for it to apply.
Federal law is any GCVWR over 26k requires a CDL A.
