#3 cylinder misfire issue...Cummins ISX CM2250

My truck is doing the exact same thing, when I park it on Friday afternoon, it sits until Monday morning and without fail I am only able to go 4-5 miles and it will start running like crap on 3 cylinders 1,2,3, blowing white smoke that's saturated in diesel fuel. I roll to the shoulder and let it idle for a 15-20 minutes and it will clear up and go back to driving, it does this every weekend. This problem has annoyed me for over 6 months now. I have replaced almost every part under the hood, hadn't found not one single mechanic that could tell me anything as to what was causing it. I appreciate you and your thread thanks a million.

 

Try that if anything it's a pretty cheap fix. From what Jerry mckneely told me was there's a oring inside the solenoids that wouod periodically let oil by them which would activate the Jake's when it shouldn't.

 

Another question, if I wanted to test the Jake's Solenoids, can I disconnect the terminal ends from the solenoids, would this also solve the problem as well, as for as solving the issue?

 

I'm not sure if you can actually test them

when the motor going hot like 210* 3 injector fail and he run like #### , literally.

stop on the side wait to cold down and I can go like 20-30min before he do the same thing


ECM change same problems !

chec engine show and dissapare.


I really need your help I already lost 26k$ of job from the last 2 week

I thinking of the wiring between the ECM and the injector I really don't know

he don't smoke white , black smoke (diesel) when he run on 3 injector only

4-5-6 run good only 1-2-3 same time when its hot 210*

 

Sounds like Jake solenoids

I cant find anything on the internet only this and it not a ISX 15 but sound familiar when I run with 3 injector only.

your issue was the same as me on your ISX ? and is was the solenoid from the Jake brake
