Thanks, all of you. It sounds like I have between little and no chance at OTR but at least now I know.

I never said you couldn't do OTR, I said you will only find a job, if you try hard, with small outfits. A local trucking company would be ideal, as they could easily find out about your reputation around town, which is something the girl doing background in Chatt or AR, even if they could, wouldn't. If your rep is ####e and a local company won't hire you, then this isn't for you.

The option of last resort would be to get your own authority, buy a truck and preferably a trailer, and be your own boss.

I speak from experience. Go get a copy of your MVR and see whats on it before you do anything. I got a DUI in 02. It goes off my record June of next year. I've asked my insurance agent, state troopers, and anyone I could think of if it will show up anywhere once it drops off of my driving record. They've told me as long as there was no accident, injury, or death involved the DUI is gone after 10 yrs. Ive never had a company go back past 10 years. I say check your MVR and if nothing shows on it then go for it. Whats the worse that can happen? If they turn you down you're no worse off than you are right now.

You can drive OTR, just not with any of the mega carriers. I would consider that a blessing in disguise anyway.

    STOPPPP Drinking!!!!
Anything is possible, I would check the local LTL companies, get on the docks, Dispatch, and Occationally they`ll probably send you on local deliveries. Stop Drinking. and Good Luck. You can do it.

I know in Florida a DUi stays on your record for 75 yrs.

And to the OP, why not stay with the current company and get a year pulling them doubles. Even if they treat you like crap, you get to go home every night I assume. I say stay put till you get more experience and then if you want to spread your wings then go for it. I dont want to be a debbie downer, but those 3 DUI's show serious lapses in judgement, making a job difficult but not impossible to get. Good luck in whatever you do

If you get a DWI while you are a minor (under 18 years old) do you still have to tell the trucking company when applying?

I wouldnt disclose anything until you go get your own driving report. Why disclose somthing that isnt on there? If its not on there then there isnt anything to report.

Nothing ever disappears off your record , pardoned, expunged, dismissed, charged etc. It will forever be there for the rest of your life. All that stuff does is show you in good faith but your history will forever be on the books. Only thing is it will show one of the above with your arrest disposition. DAC and trucking companies love this crap. They can use it againest you but I guess this is why DAC is under a lawsuit.
