3 + Hours to change a single tire and counting

Right on US20 is a Goodyear commercial tire. Also M-Built tire shop which is right next to Tarp Stop ( Flatbed supply ) several other places also.

 

Pomps Tire is just a few miles away.
I'm pretty sure they are a Michelin dealer plus some other brands.

 

I just gave away a shower to a guy at this Petro in North Las Vegas.

Shop is about 2 trucks deep, all bays.

I asked how long of a wait to get a tire repaired. 4 hours at the moment.

 

Truckstops were for me last resorts for tires, used only at night or when tire shops were closed, and only then If I could not wait.
I tried to buy a new tire from a TA once for my step deck. There was no wait, but the price they gave me prompted me to single it out with my winch bar and drive on to a sapp bros.

 

A tire with just low tread I would have run somewhere convenient for me.

In your case, a Loves with a tire shop and a shower.

Better question is why did it have low tread in the first place.

Take it easy and enjoy the down time. Watch tv, get a split sleeper berth break while there is an oppurtunity.

I have learned to try and be more positive.

 

If you're an owner operator then I would be stressing out too.

But company drivers should be less stressed out
