3 kids die when car attempts a U-turn on I-80

The kids were friends of the driver’s grandchildren.

 

Sad deal. A real good friend of my daughters when she was in high school did the u-turn thing in front of a truck on us 54 in New Mexico, bad deal and her folks just about went crazy over it. They were fine folks and liked by everybody, but for a while strictly hated trucks over it.

 

RIP children.

 

Trouble with "self thinning" drivers, is they take innocent people with them.

 

Jail time.

Like most 'accidents' I believe it was the unintended consequence of a deliberate action.

 

Turning around on an Interstate with children in front of a truck is no accident. It's just plain brain dead stupidity.

 

Well I am betting he didn't get hit on purpose, maybe stupid accident, but accident all the same.
Folks have been having stupid accidents forever, but seems like there are a lot of perfect folks anymore that want jail time or murder charges brought on any accident, even more so when it is a truckers fault, even when the only reason it is his fault is he is 10 minutes ahead of his log book.

 

Drivers ED. Should teach to not do u turns on an interstate.
