Back when I did dryvan, I remember picking up this crappy trailer at a scrap-paper yard. When I went back to swing the doors, the right side one came out about halfway, then broke down a nice rotten line from midsection all the way to the top right hinge, then fell off. I stood there, freaking out, for about 5 minutes. Another company driver walked up laughing, told me to call it in. I did, there was stunned silence, then a "secure the door inside, take it to {so and so trailer repair}, go get another one. Again, this was in my newbie days, and I had honestly thought I had commited a trucker sin for damaging equipment.
