OP is calling it murder and it isn’t. That driver was charged with manslaughter, there’s a big difference vs murder per state of Texas.

Okay I just went back and checked. You can raise money for criminal defense. There are a few crime’s that don’t qualify. Violent crimes, murder, hate crimes etc.

So yes, depending on the crime you can use the e-begging site.

Personally I’ll just buy myself a 12 pack and a big bag of popcorn.

Guess I missed this. I said nothing about the driver or anyone with a CDL. I said trash companies, you know the ones who start up out of a mail box and then change their address after a deadly accident and you say maybe there’s another reason they changed it. If it was more difficult to get authority then maybe all these fraudulent companies wouldn’t be started, maybe it wouldn’t be easy money for people who might not live here.

Maybe the feds need to go after Amazon for contracting with these garbage fly by night carriers. I would suspect that the reason the screenshot said not to show officers the relay app is likely because they’re running team loads with solo drivers. And when you have a slob who probably has sleep apnea running like that they fall asleep and kill people.

 

Pretty sure in America, if you cannot afford legal counsel one will be appointed to you.. I'd understand where illegal citizens don't understand their rights in this beautiful country.. Also they are gonna need a whole lot more than 15k .. Lol

 

I don’t know how other states vet these companies or o/o’s but in Florida you can’t even get a tag without solid proof of your address.
Fmcsa doesn’t need to change anything, states do.

Florida you need like 3 months utility bills and so much other crap it’s seriously not easy. Even just to register your truck to lease on, your address needs to be solid. You definitely aren’t getting a tag with a P.O. Box address that’s for sure!

 

Perhaps if the Fmcsalmop starting citing Amazon and other 3rd party 'contractors' for every violation THEIR trailers were involved in, maybe some of this would slow down.

 

You know what would bring it to a standstill? Hold Amazon liable in civil court. To my knowledge, no one's gotten past summery judgement. Make Amazon face a nuclear verdict and watch how fast they change their hiring and operations.
