The company doesn't contribute to the drivers 401K, and misleads them about it during hiring.
Their trucks and trailers are in disrepair. Most of the ABS lights are disconnected on the trailers.
The inside of the trucks are ragged out big time and look like they have sat in a field with the windows down for a couple of years. The fuse panels are missing in front of the dash all the way across to the passenger side of the cab. Some mirror brackets are held on with bungee cords. They have a separate DVIR for their drivers to fill out, and you can't put anything wrong with the truck or trailer in the DOT DVIR (like the law states that you have to do in order to be legal). This is because they don't repair anything that they don't want to repair (like ABS).
They give drivers used uniforms. Some of mine were missing zippers and pockets. They give drivers used and broken fittings to use for work. You will also sign a form that says they will charge you $950 for the fittings if you leave and don't give them back, but a new set is only $250, tops. You also will have to pay $350 for a UA that only cost them $85. The cost of health insurance is ridiculous, high premiums and deductibles, and the insurance doesn't even cover blood work, and only 50% of the cost of an office visit. You basically get a prescription card for several hundred dollars a month. If you put your spouse on it, it will cost you almost $1000 per month. That would be a third of a drivers income.
These are just the facts. Some drivers don't mind these things, and if you're one of them, then fine. This is just a heads up to anyone looking to work for them.
