Hey admin, poster here is promoting unsafe driving practices for future generations of drivers who will read this. I think it falls under your rules.

Lets say you are a trainer and have two students in the truck. You mark yourself of duty when students drive. It is illegal, but how will DOT know that they are students? How will DOT know that they are not regular team mates?

In my 4 years of being a cdl driver this is the first time I've heard of two students for one trainer. 3 drivers for one truck doesn't make any sense. None of this makes sense

This is my experience: swift made us train students on duty 50 hrs, then team.
DOT won't know, only they will ask what the arraignment is since the student most likely has a cdl. But the 3rd driver will make the DOT officer suspicious.

The giveaway would be driving with permits. They get inspected and he's been off duty for the last hour leading up to pulling into scale is going to bite him good.

I'm on paper till the end of the year I've been told. I do my absolute best to stay legal. Some days my best is all I can do.

So if OP's students already had the licensees issued, he marked him self off duty, then he easily could have made those miles. I just dont understand how he got to keep all the money then. Are students not getting paid anything for the miles they drive?

Joe Schmoe goes to England's school from Maine. After he gets his permit he is in phase 1. During that time your driving on a permit. The original poster has stated and its on his profile, he was a phase 1 trainer. You don't get your license till after you do the required phase 1 driving, go back and test out. Then Joe would enter phase 2 being a cdl holder.
