Most, probably not, most times they ask in last 10 years. Just call and ask a recruiter you've got nothing to lose. Good Luck and Merry Christmas!

Not to most. Most have a 5-10 year min on them 30 years should not be a problem from most. At our place it would prevent you from getting hired but we are not like most.
    Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I didn't want to lie and be sent home during an orientation. I know it won't come up on the DMV check but might on the background check.

Had a dui in '84 in personal vehicle. Had one company tell me about 10 years ago that they would not accept you if you had dui while you "held " a CDL. No matter how long ago. But that was the only company that has ever had a problem with it. After about 10 years most don't care

99% Change no,like other posters said most carriers only care if it was within last 5 or 10 years.I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Don't forget...if the APPLICATION asks "Have you EVER had a DUI.."
...and you say "NO" and they find out, that's grounds for immediate dismissal.
    (Falsification of information)

If the application asks .."in the last 10yrs" - then of course you can say NO.
    Common sense prevails here.

Don't worry about a passport it would be a waste of money. Canada won't let you in

Canada will let him in, if he passes their qualifications. This happened to a buddy at work.
Went to Canada to go fishing, got turned away.
Found out later that had he gone through their qualifications process, he would likely have been allowed in.
They may also allow him in if he gets if expunged from his record.
Though this is Canada, they might decide to go postal at any second.
