For the OP buy some foreclosure condos with the $300k and rent them out. Then live off the rent money sitting on the beach. -
As for trucking out of Miami? Look into Costa Farms. They run flowers out of South Florida. If you really want to go into the trucking business, you could do that from Miami. But I agree with the 300k could be better used doing something else...

Volvo 780s and Freightliner Cascadias are the nicest team-friendly fleet trucks I've run across so far. -
i wouldnt hire a "dummy" to start with, but the non dummy's aren't gonna sign on some ware that they wont be compensated correctly. What is your "hard earned advice" . Don't run a business and don't expand. That sounds like really sucky advice. Just because you didn't do well with employees dosn't mean i wont. -
