Yea I talked to a driver today and he said I would get used to it. He has a W9 with a 305 inch base. I'm pulling a regular 53 with no spread axle. Thanks for the input and be safe out there.

My 260" wheelbase, with the flip neck down on the 3 axle RGN, would be worse IMHO. 4'6" of flip neck makes it a 57'6" trailer, and 3 axles at the very back of the trailer that can't slide up. 81' overall length with the axles all the way back and fixed. Perfectly doable on a daily basis.

Used to drive a 345 inch wheelbase twin steer gin truck with a 57 foot three axle oilfield lowboy. It got around pretty good you just had to get used to swinging extremely wide and backing up every once in a while but it's not something a guy can't get used too.

I have a 300" W900 and pull an RGN with the neck flipped almost all of the time, the trailer is 57'6" with a triple at the back. I get into a curb every once in a while, but you get used it. Take every bit of road and then some when you have to make a tight corner, make people back up if you have to.

Project 350, if he can do it, you can do it with a 305.

some can make it with a 300+ inch truck and there are ones out there who can't do it with a 244".

Thats a whole lotta truck and trailer to navigate. As far as turns, and backing, the 3 axle Rgn has to be near the top of the most difficult list. Was running stretch loads earlier this year, and my average length was right at 90 ft. Worlds tougher than the blade trailers, even at 195 ft. Saw a Lonestar 8 axle rig, had this big trailer with this 2&2 spread with rear steering (tandem spread tandem with hydraulics on the rear tandem). Bet it's an extremely expensive trailer, but could you imagine what you could do with your trailer, and a 20 ft stretch AND rear steering? Rear steering is like cheating.
