And yes so far truck is 100% original minus the stretch which I’ll redo eventually. I’m 2nd owner and it only has 400k on it, verified through paperwork![]()

I don't know about the cabovers but I used to drive long time ago an old Diamond Reo that had a 270 I think power torque Cummins that has a compression release.
I don't think it matters how you have it set up as long as you can release it to spin the engine.
That was a long time ago those were tiny engines for a tri axle dump truck really but they did the job and pulled pretty well for what they were.
Now I myself have the mighty Big Cam and I could not be happier with it.BoxCarKidd and feldsforever Thank this. -
