Okay
So just a general question to throw out there to you drivers...
Being a professional driver is a very unique profession. Personally I think it is an enviable position and as a driver you can do some things that others might not do due to the convenience of being home every night, etc. I understand there are inspections and such, those things are required. But what about what you choose to do that is not required?
What do you personally do on your 34 hour reset or during your downtime?
I"m curious about anything you do from the mundane such as reading a new book or watching tv to playing video games or exploring a new area.
Anyone take the opportunity to eat at the local restaurants that are famous for a certain food?
Anyone walk, rent a car or steal a bicycle to explore a new city/town/borough?
Anyone learn a new trade or hobbie such as studying a new instrument, take up a new language, work on the internet?
Anyone into photography? Collect something? Exercise? Clean the truck?
I understand there are a million different things you can do on your downtime but curious as to what you personally do?
34 hour reset and downtime....what do you personally do...

I have OCD so I usually clean or wax the trk or polish something, Or fixing little items that most people put off until they become a major problem. Or find a historic place or museum to visit.
-
I look at photography on the internet. And eat donuts. Plus I usually wait until I reset to take a shower.

1. sleep in
2. wash truck
3.polish truck
4.wax truck its a never ending process when u got a black truck
5.install new toys to the truck
6. if i have time walk around or play online thinking about taking a new language aswell
so as u can tell why i dont usually take resets, i usually end up more wore out after the reset then i was before hahaDocWatson Thanks this. -
I go sit at the counter in the restaurant with my telemarketer special Bluetooth headset on for the first 16 or 18 hours, drink water and have a loud profanity laden conversation (with myself, because everytime I call someone I get their voicemail). I don't tip because water is free and 15% of $0 is $0.
After I get tired of doing that I go sit in my truck and play music through my 1000watt cb, only stopping to, insult other drivers and dump my pee jug in the parking lot.
