Hi all. Can a team driver take 34 hours restart provision while still riding in the truck with his co-driver? He is relived of duty by carrier.

Yes.
In the sleeper for a full 10, or 8 in the sleeper with 2 in the jump seat either before or after your shift.
To do a full 34, you must log it as you go. In other words, log time outside the truck to pee or shower or whatever as OFF DUTY. Then when you climb back in, change over to the sleeper again.
Hope that helps.

That will be a really poor way to take a 34. And really the only way.
It's best you both get in Sync. IF you take 34, the partner does too. It's only fair. Otherwise you generate animosity when one decides you have had enough laying around playing on the video game back there. -
We used to do a ROLLING restart every week... she would go in the sleeper 8 hr before I del. then we would go to the motel for the night. next day she would have her 35 I would go in the sleeper and finish my 34
laaylor, NavigatorWife and Lepton1 Thank this. -
We both take our 34 off together at home or at a hotel. Keeping in sync makes it easier to trip plan for us. We like to make 27+ hour runs and being off sync would put us on the short run track of 15 or so.
If we are doing a reset in a so-so city we consider doing a one person finishes reset in the sleeper.laaylor Thanks this. -

dummies ..no jew can't do a rolling 34hrs reset..on paper logs ..jew have to write down the city n state or mile marker n state...so just because jew are using electronic logs gives jew the right to break the law... -
