look better now??
What a mess
much better now
and since ford puts their engines in crooked the easiest way to accommodate is lean the truck the other way and let the engine hang straight
and fml some how we were off a couple inches on the front mountIsafarmboy, BoxCarKidd, wore out and 1 other person Thank this. -
cross member problem solved
it fits better than expectedEven hauled a load with it today
I don’t miss that m11 even one bitNow why is there a small oil leak at this threaded hole?
Everything else is dry as a boneSons Hero, BoxCarKidd and wore out Thank this. -
Dry it up with brake clean put high temp silicone in it let it dry will not hurt a thing over fill anything or affect anything except the oil leak it self.Sons Hero, Deere hunter, IH9300SBA and 2 others Thank this. -
Just mostly curious here…
I have more power than the m11 but more is always better lol
I can get 17 psi boost at 1500 rpm odly it won’t get above that…almost like it’s a gate turbo ( definitely not)
Boost comes on reasonably fast till around 15 psi and builds the last bit slower. Turbo I think has a 1.85 ar exhaust housing it’s a cat don’t know the number though.
Fuel pressure under load is around 30 I didn’t have a snubber on the gauge so kinda hard to tell
Egt with a temp gun is around 650
That removable doghouse has occasional advantages… don’t have a pyro in it right now.
Seems to me it just needs more fuel
There’s no smoke after 10 psi boost and the aneroid is disabled -
Rack travel. Define aneroid disabled? Has to be something there that’s still holding the rack in my opinion
Did you cut the nail head off the AFRC? Till you said disabled I would say it’s the diaphragm or not getting any boost.Deere hunter Thanks this. -
I tried adjusting it until there were no threads left…it made a little smoke and would spool the turbo much faster. Made very little if any difference on total boost. I put a socket under the cover to hold the stem forward. Maybe that is not enough or doing what I think it is. I did test it with a t, ball valve and a pressure gauge it would take 1/2 hour or so to leak off from 25 psi and there was very little volume of air in it. I would think that would be sufficient

Also you can check for full rack travel with a timing pin or a 3/8 bolt with the threads cut off just using the shank. Pull the peanut side cover on pump, top plug a drop pin in. Turn key on and block throttle wide open make pick pin up just to let rack notch clear it. The pin and the edge of that notch in rack should be dead even.
Almost forgot the simple stuff, make sure your pedal gives the throttle full travel and pulls against the break over springBoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
I have not had the back of the pump off but I do know the timing advance is working ( only tested with a pulse timing light) but that will tell it’s working just maybe not to much accuracy
