I don't have a clue what goes in here. Any and all help welcome. Right behind and below the fuel filter. 20180403_221957.jpg

Can't you see the picture? It's the hole towards the top and center of this picture. The hole is behind and below the fuel filter. Right above the oil pan. Drivers side.

That's one of the 4 holes that is used for your dipstick. Should have a rubber plug in the ones not used for a dipstick.

Is there no rubber plug in the hole??

    SAR Thanks this.

    Barrel plugs. Cat p/n 165-6170.
I would try to recover the old one or whats left of it before it starts to plug off the oil pump suction. Sometimes a coarse wood screw installed into the middle of the old one helps pull it out.

Oxbow, SAR and greaseburner Thank this.

Well if it's gone I wouldn't run it till you go to cat and get a new one.
Clean it up put little rtv silicone on the plug and drive it in .

SAR, spsauerland and greaseburner Thank this.
