If the engine is still stock it should have the 57s. -
If you are going to upgrade a cam in an early E model, I would just install a cam out of a marine, machine or industrial application. Now these same cams could be used in a later E model or C-15/C-16 also for power gains.
The Acert's and bridge motors use other camshafts entirely. -

The injector lobe is different for many different applications. Higher or lower lift depending on the injectors used and the power level of the engine. The C-15 375 Hp has a very high injector lift compared to the C-16 600 Hp. But there is a different size injector in the two engines. Is this what you are saying by stroke?? -
Alright, I'm about to remove my cyl head but I still have to remove the injectors. It looks to me like I have to remove a head bolt to be able to get the hold down "spring" out. According to the manual the spring should come out when I remove the hold down bolt but it looks to me like I cant get the spring out without removing the head bolt right behind it. I know the hold down "spring" isn't really a spring but that's what the manual calls it, hope that makes sense.
