That is a good question but what does 4 corner scoring indicate?
-
Four corner scoring is usually lack of oil or a tight spot causing heat, swelling etc.
You say it's a 5ek block, but you are using 600 HP kits out if a C15. How bout a piston pack part number?BoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
Compression can be a killer with the compound turbos and no IVA valves. I have seen a tight wrist pin cause four corner scoring as well as too much end play or thrust in the crank. Let's it shift enough that it puts the rod in a bind

Check the cam lobes for that cylinder.
-
Off topic but while some Cat folks are here. Just bought an injector for a C15 2005 and it cam with a disc. My machine will only read codes on this. Am I SOL?
-
Does the new injector have a trim code on it? I'm assuming you can read codes and change basic parameters
-
Thanks: I can see that now but will have to study up on IVA valves.
-
It's not an acert it's custom compounds making about 55 pounds of boost. It's not blowing head gaskets or anything just that one cylinder every time, different rods and pistons and liners every time. Or 8918 cylinder packs. We just put a crank and block fresh out of the machine shop with the same exact result, this thing is killing me.
wore out Thanks this. -
The rings are trashed and burned into the piston but the top looks ok. Yes I can change parameters and flash files.
