No fuel temp wire or any mods, is that too high on fuel temp? Fuel comes from dual 150-gallon tanks, so one would think it would have ample opportunity to cool down but if there is some sort of restriction on return somewhere I haven’t found yet would that cause a power issue? All fuel lines on the engine, return included, are new from cat.

when I was chasing the miss on my 6NZ a tech mentioned a possible high fuel temp issue, he told me the engine would derate when fuel temps reached 145F. I watched the fuel temp on my cat computer and it did reach that temp a few times but there was no change in engine performance. the miss would occur at temps lower than the threshold he mentioned so it was ruled out.

Following this as I have the SAME exact problem... driving me nuts.... tried everything here except changing out the ECU. Now I'm thinking it's an electrical short happening as the engine vibrates... so next I'm tracing all wires and searching for any chaffing..
