Thank you, I will check with my cat dealer when I buy sensor. Any idea if that number i listed is the correct sensor from factory?

The original has a push/pull sensor head. You pull it out and screw the sensor in the hole without the shim. Then screw it back out and add the shim being careful not to move the head and screw it back in. The new sensor will have a upgraded part number. I don't have sis to look it up. The dealer can answer that for you.
SAR Thanks this. -
Keep your old sensor. If the new one every goes out completely the old one will get you home.

Well today I pulled off and cleaned check valve that screws in to bottom of secondary filter housing, didnt appear dirty. Pulled out cam sensor and cleaned off oil and stuff that that was on end, reinstalled. Then removed and cleaned suction tube from fuel tank and checked primary filter to see if it was getting dirty again everything was clean. Took the truck for a test drive and the #### miss is gone, glad its gone but wish I knew what fixed it? My fuel pressure is around 55 idle 65 at 1500 rpm. Should I replace transfer pump even though I am no longer seeing any ill effects?

Also that cam sensor in my 1LW which has 127-1008 on it says it was only in a 5EK motor, would there be a differance?

I'm having identical stuttering issue.
2003 Pete 379. CAT C15 6NZ.
New injector harness . New engine wiring harness. All new sensors, including throttle positioning sensor.
Cam, crank, boost, barometric, FUEL temp, etc..all new.
Dropped fuel tanks, checked suction tubes ( fuel pickup tubes) no cracks.
New fuel divider and divertor valves.
New fuel supply lines, tanks to engine.
Fuel pressure regulator valve changed 3x. INJECTORS changed by CAT under warranty. 2 ECM's changed ( one used and a new one by cat)
Exhaust disassembled and checked for blockage, all great.
Hand primer pump changed 3x by CAT.
Let off the throttle for 5 seconds and I can floor it , full throttle, to get up to highway speed without issue. But a 1 or 2 second pause in throttle followed by full throttle always results in heavy stumbling / chugging.
Filters changed many times prematurely, all clean.
Tried many tanks fuel from another supplier with no difference.
Also, coasting on flat highway at 50 mph with nearly no throttling and it chugs, like mico second throttle applications.
NOBODY CAN FIGURE THIS OUT.
IT'S NOT A SMALL CHUGGING, gets quite severe.
I need help.
Thanks. -
Injector seats.
Geez I sound like a broken record.pushbroom, SAR and spsauerland Thank this. -
I hear ya swan.
I'm gonna discuss it with CAT, seeing as I have warranty still.
But one question. Why when I'm merging onto a 65 mph highway from rounding a curve ( cloverleaf) at 25 mph, jump on the accelerator to pull my 140,000 lb gross up to speed, no issues exist, all Well, but only after torque and high power demand has a 4-5 second rest rounding that curve behind me.?
Wouldn't you think with foot to floor this would be the worst time for combustion blowing past injector O rings/ seats ?
SAR Thanks this. -
Swaan. I forgot to mention.
CAT replaced injectors few months back. When asked if any blow-by seen on O rings on injectors the tech said no.
I'm just trying to be as educated as possible when I confront them about seats. -
Wouldn't be surprised if one of those reman injectors they just put in is the issue.
