needed to change passenger tail/ marker/ turn / brake light. a prong was corroded. changed the plug and replaced the light. new light works as turn/4 way, and brake but does not work as a marker. checked harness all the way across to driver side and even checked factory harness splices. the new light works on driver side in all capacities. any suggestions? thanks

Your description is not very clear to me but a bad ground I thank.

Get a test light and see if power is coming through the plug for your running light. If no power coming through then you have a broken wire somewhere. If you have power coming through then make sure the prong is making contact.

There would be 3 wires on that pigtail correct? Did you hook them up properly and not accidently reverse the stop/turn lead and the tail light lead?
-
Just check to see if you have power at the light. If so could be a defective light.
Just because it's new don't mean a thing. -
It could be the wrong light, does it have a connector on both sides of the housing? Had this issue just this week on one that had the wrong light housing. The ones with a connector on both sides are only wired for one side of the truck...
