387 hood rattle

    What is a quick fix for the hood rattling in a 2008 387? Rattling is at the cups and spring, I don't want to do the obvious and add latches at this point.

    I have the same problem. The rubber wears out and needs to be replaced. I think they can be adjusted, also. I will let you know when I do mine.

    My hood rattles on my 387 and it has the exterior rubber latches ... Any solutions ?

    put socks on the rubber hood stops , will be as quiet as a mouse ......

    Socks, lightweight gloves, etc. Vaseline the heck out of them ( NOT grease ) and you won't hear a thing out of them for a long time. For no more than it costs, it is almost a better feeling than getting brand new steer tires !!!

    If the hood rests on rubber blocks on the firewall grease them.

    Agreed, now that I re-read my post. Put the vasoline the gloves or whatever you put on the stops, not the stops themselves.
