Your inability to do your job properly is not your companies fault . You applied for a job you said you could do . Obviously you were wrong . It is not their responsibility to train in anything but their way of doing things .
You need to learn to pay attention to what is going on around you . If there is any doubt get out and walk the area that they want you to get into . Of course this only works if you know your equipment and your capabilities .
There is never an excuse for hitting a parked vehicle or building ever . Well maybe if your brakes fail and you can't stop it might be ok but otherwise you just plain screwed the pooch and its your fault .
So my advice to you to man up and admit YOU are in the wrong and Learn what you wrong so you don't do it again !
There are plenty of million mile plus safe drivers that never spent a day in school or with a trainer ever and never hit anything but a dock !!!

People hit things everyday in this industry and if the company uses DAC then it will go on your report. Some companies are more lenient then others on their determining if this is serious or not. It's your fault for not getting the training and the companies fault for trusting you.Does'nt this company have a training program? If not then why did you chance it by driving for them? Are you still with them?If so what happens if you have another accident, are you going to blame the company for not training you?

The company is guilty for being tightwads and hiring a newby and paying him peanuts with no training. At least they can pay him peanuts and let him ride with someone for a month.
You get what you pay for.
To the newby, you chose your route and accepted no training probably because you were too impatient to get to the payday phase. The first thing you have to do is slow down and think. You can't hurt anything if you aren't moving. Get out and look. Tell the 4 wheeler to move his vehicle. Ask for a spotter.Ralph4159 Thanks this. -
And you won't see a post on here with me blaming them. You screwed up, own it, learn from it.Grymm, Wanderingaimlessly and rockee Thank this. -
not to worry.the government loves those indoctrinated people that are unable to provide for and thus be responsible for themselves.that parked pick-up jumped out and hit you and it has been a conspiracy from the start.

Totally drivers fault yes the company shouldn't have just let you go with no training but its still your fault as the driver for not telling them you weren't comfortable just hoping in and going at it on your own as far as just wanting to hold a position because you h e no experiance that's bologna there are tons of company's that would hire you and give you proper training also someone said only bottom feeder companies will hire you that's not true either mass majority won't buy there are a few decent companies that will understand the circumstances of what happened so long as you don't lie and try to push off all the blame on someone else because yes it's your fault you hit that truck it's your fault you put yourself in an uncomfortable spot only thing the company did wrong was not make you train with someone but if you don't speak up how they know you aren't comfortable blame should be 90% on you 10% on the company atleast that's my opinion
