Why did you even start this thread?

They flew you out and your gone in less than a month(After your orientation)...

At Least give us the reason WHY you only lasted a month

    28 days.

Oh well, it is far better to get out early than to wait until it's too late. Odds are it wouldn't have gotten any better (whatever the "it" was).

a number of reasons. some of which are my fault. yes, i knew what i was getting into with this job, and did it cuz i desperately needed the money and the quick signon bonus. so i thought, eh its just till we move to florida. wont be that bad. wrongo.

    1. minimum of 2 weeks out. i thought i could do it, but i just cant. for 1, i need a life outside the truck. not all of us enjoy being road warriors, we just do this cuz atm, we have no other viable choice.

    2. secondly, my fiance doesnt have the best health situation. shes got 1 kidney and various other health problems. i cant be out that long, and i need to be relatively close to home. recently shes been having more problems and being sick.

    3. reefer, sucks. duh.

    4. they called and woke me up to get a temp check. ive done reefer before, and never had that happen.

    5. they never give u all the information for a load, like whether its a drop or an unload.

    6. had a walmart load, they didnt tell me it wasnt a drop, and i assumed it was. yeah i probably shouldnt have assumed so. but also they put me at the very limit and beyond of my hours that day, didnt give me enough time to do everything. so i got to the walmart dc with 40 minutes left and they said its not a drop. and i stupidly left and went to the supercenter next door. meanwhile, its lunchtime, which basically means theres almost no1 working at their sole terminal, so it takes forever to get answers back. so by the time i get an answer back, im out of hours. so they want me to crawl back and deliver. i didnt wanna take the risk of some moron 4wheeler hitting me, so i said i cant do it. so a bit later, they have another driver do it, but still give me a big strike for not doing it myself. when it was mainly their fault for screwin it up.

    7. my apu died in nashville, and they put me in a hotel. meanwhile they said theyd get it fixed asap, which never happened. i had 2 spend a couple nights without an apu, cuz they never got back to me about a hotel.

    8. if you have issues on the weekend or not during peak hours, theres literally 4 or 5 people for *700* trucks. so it can take hours to get an answer back on anything, and if u call, ur on eternal hold.

    9. instead of letting my last paychecks direct deposit, theyre mailing them to me.

also, as i said i ran into another driver that was leavin, and he had similar experiences, and told me i shouldnt be surprised to run into more quitting drivers

Okay first and foremost... You didn't do your research on K&B?... There is more than enough information on this site that would have told you to stay away from them... And if you're looking for something close to home to be home for an early don't choose another OTR carrier you need to go local

Why don't you try to look for a local company near where you live that pays half way decent at least and that way you could be home like you say you need to be

Again, why are you going to an OTR carrier if you want to be local? When are you moving to Florida? Just a heads up, if you want to drive locally here be prepared to make less. Dry van drivers make between $13-$17 an hour here.
