Yup, Grantsville does have a trucking school, that's where I got my license. Good ol' Mountaintop Truck Driving Institute. But they don't offer any kind of refresher/brush up training though, and if they did, like I said in my original post, I doubt i'd be able to afford it.

Ya know what? You are in freaking 60 ton gross weight coal country, put on your boots and open up that wallet for the mountain of wages you are about to recieve doing that work.

I had a workaround early in my life when the DAC etc was all burned up and the world was against me. I joined a very tiny two truck paving outfit and worked a couple of years as a work around against the DAC etc. My employer was a profane man who did not give a ###### about the fancy DAC etc. He would just as soon as clock you with the backhoe and then dock your pay for the time you spent unconsious at the job site. =)

    That advances stops right now.

Yes. I said. Right. Now. It has to stop. There are several reasons.

One. Company is not a Bank. You expose yourself to a lawful ternimate deal by borrowing and borrowing and borrowing just to eat. It's one thing to borrow funds immediately consumed and reciepts made for the expense like a burnt alternator or tolls etc. In fact you don't borrow at all. Period.

Two. Going into debt each pay period tells company you cannot manage your money, Deficiency living is the crutch that bites most people who engage in it financially. And maybe when you REALLY need toll money, you had already borrowed too much soup money and they cut your card, causing your canada dispatch to get destroyed and then service failure, then you are fired.

three. If you cannot get out of borrowing. GO HOME. Get work flipping burgers for three months. Do NOTHING but flip on a leave of absence from trucking company you should eventually within that three month period scratch together a thousand dollars saved. I have done it washing dishes at the long john silvers at home.

Whatever happens tonight. That borrowing STOPS right now. I don't care if you are hungry for a few days. That should teach you to be a little more humilty and a much better driver. But be very careful that your food and fluid shortage does not land you into the ER. It only takes a few hours rationing to uncover a serious health issue that might kill your trucking career entirely.

Im not your enemy. Ive borrowed in my time. Lots of it. That got stopped. I go the other way, I don't go out on the road with spouse with less than 10,000 ready to go in a form easily protected against predators.
