40 years of exper driver - off for last 2 years -- needs driving job

don’t sell yourself short driver it’s a company’s loss missing out on the guy like you. Good luck

 

Have you thought about going back to the last company you worked for? Even if they sucked but you did good there its a fair chance they will re hire you being off the road only 2 years.

I took like 5 years off from big truck driving while hauling campers with my 1-ton dually and didn’t have too much trouble finding places that would hire me if I passed a road test. The place I’m at didn’t even bother doing that. You don’t ever forget how…maybe some jitters for a few moments getting into a strange truck after a long hiatus but the muscle memory and spatial awareness never goes away.
