It seems to me that the main reason for all of this is the cold weather and snow up north. Every single year, it is the exact same thing. Everyone sits in Houston/Baytown and ####### and moans about there being no freight, and it's all too cheap. yet if you look on the boards, there are multiple loads going to ND/MT/ID/WA that pay descent but nobody wants to go up there due to the weather. I know on the LS board (for leased guys) there are several loads going to Williston and Seattle paying over $2.50 mile yet nobody will take it becasue they "don't drive in that weather" trust me, I know, i've asked a lot of them. I was just in FL and heard the sam crap at the Marianna TA, all the guys were sitting around crying about loads and rates, yet not a single one of the 8 guys there I was talking with would go to Chicago or north of there????? You cause your own problems sometimes

SHC I'd thank you twice for that one!

I'll take a load to Florida any time I can get one because I know how to get outa there with a great rate going almost anywhere.
Send my arse to florida with a flatbed anytime!

edit; & no guys,,,I ain't gonna tell ya how. Sorry.

It's funny you said that because when the snow flys the rates go way up. I try to stay south but before I'd haul cheap I'd head north with good frt.
Wont hang iron? Don't go there. ;)

Yes, all short hops in the northeast. Where nobody wants to go. Because it's cold. And it's the northeast.

No Sir...cheap freight for you!...NOT me!
Remember what that old man said to me? "When they make it hard for everybody,,,I make money". Figure out how that works or you will haul cheap freight, and you will be a "bottom-feeder" til ya go broke.

edit; I see many years of experience in your profile. My hat's off to you!

I'm just saying,,,quit worrying about what others do and you have no controal over. Change your game so what they do don't matter. JMHO
