    No I'm not. I said what you said, no more than 40 feet kpra in California. But you are wrong about how close you can get, assuming maxed out legal tandem weights.

    How can so many people be so ignorant about the basic laws governing the industry that employs us?

    You guys didn't even start to get into how silly bridge laws can be! Along with different states allowing different distances, some states measure the axle group differently. Just to make it more complicated, some states measure from the center of the rear axle, and some states measure from the center of the axle group. aggggghhhhhh.

    Don't forget rear overhang as a % of trailer wheelbase..
