and here we go with the comments "well it dont matter how good the pay is if you dont get any miles". lol wouldnt you rather run less miles at a higher rate? nooo that would make too much sense, because if im not driving 11 hrs a day what on earth would i do with my free time but complain im bored,"with all thats available in this world nobody should be bored, they should change the meaning of the word bored to "mental" and fyi walmart drivers dont run the most miles but they prob do better than most, although the driver cam is an issue for me we all have our price

If I'm in the truck and on the road then I expect to be running, simple as that. Raising the pay rate to compensate for me laying around truck stops/terminals waiting on a load or just a general lack of miles doesn't cut it. If you're content with 2200-2300 miles a week @ $0.42/mile then that's your choice. But I'd rather a $0.40/mile job running 2800-3000 miles a week making use of the time I'm obligated to the company. Now obviously stops and unload/reload times will play a factor in this but as long as I'm being compensated then that isn't an issue.

The recruiter says they do 2700 - 3000 a week there, and most of the guys working there say they get miles also.
I'm hoping they keep the miles up even with the raise.chi-town joe, DRAGON64 and tow614 Thank this. -
I was just talking to a Celadon driver who left millis for celadon...
