I'm telling you their old log departments told them because of the 15 minute block formats and people rounding up/down a driver only has to be within 30min-45 min window. I had Barr-Nunn tell it to me when I was in their orientation way back when. When I asked the nice girl where in the regulations it allowed for wiggle room she informed me that log auditors had told the safety department this fact and it was widely known.
To which I replied you better get the DOT on board because if you pull out of here(Charlotte at the time) and get checked at the south bound 85 scale(about 10 miles) where your book says you are still on your ten hour break for another 15 minutes in Charlotte when you hand it over he may have the driver wiggling a bit!

Shadow, I don't think that's what the drivers were referring to. If you read the post you quoted, you will see there is no mention of delays of any kind.
I'm still waiting to see the explanation the driver gave for this.
