I wouldn’t put much stock in anything Scheid diesel says. They are only 25 minutes away from me, and I only know 1 guy they have done work for that was happy (and he was from out of state) I know a bunch they have done work for that were NOT happy. Absolutely no warranty, even if an injection pump didn’t work ONCE after you got it back, a sorry is all you get.

That's nice you're able to dyno your success.
There used to be a Detroit shop locally that used have a Dyno but when the new owners took over they didn't want to maintain it, so its been out of Service for years, and couple states below me CAT has a chassis Dyno but now there not letting high HP trucks run on it.

Thanks for the heads up, I was only considering honing injectors if necessary

Ok….so deflection and lost motion wasn’t your concern

I second the no shceid…. Got a hot pump from them for a pulling tractor 3 years ago…it’s leaked diesel into the oil since day one and they refuse to acknowledge the problem which is by the way a ####ty machining job they did or maybe had done for them. All they ever wanted to do was have me bring them the pump so they can “check it out” and take more money
The other problem is they would never tell me how much gph I needed to supply it just that they wanted no less than 150 psi feed pressure….you see they had a setup already built that I could buy for 1500 bucks….in they’re dreams….sorry guys I can do this myself.
I would highly recommend fair valley performance in mn Iirc
They are super helpful on the phone and build great stuff

Oxbow and Sons Hero Thank this.

They likely won’t build a cat pump but certainly could do Bosch
Not many places seem to want to work on the cat pumps in any capacity

I doubt I have any pictures of the extra support stands and I don’t have that tractor anymore….otherwise I could get some

Show me a push tube engine without deflection.. ….I’m merely pointing out where the 3406 breaks the rocker shaft most times. Course as I’ve said before I don’t know #### from wild honey either

Sons Hero and W923 Thank this.

So does that particular cam cause the rocker shaft to break…. Or is that just a weak spot. I have an engine with the 4w1765 in it and it’s torn down to the point of swapping the cam being very easy. like I said before I can’t say I see any benefit from the cam it’s just what was in this particular franken engine when I bought it
