Funny how the relevant law doesn't bother to define what constitutes "an exorbitant or excessive price."

I lived in Houston for 40 years. Been through many hurricane alerts and a several hurricanes. Gas stations just close and put out signs saying out of gas when they actually have gas. There is no incentive to stay open. Also, there is no incentive for people who want to leave to car pool. If gas was twenty dollars a gallon they would. Price gouging laws just pander to stupid voters and actually end up costing lives.

You’ll need to visit each state and look at their laws. Most I’ve seen allow up to ten percent.
It’s there, you just need to look. -
That’s good advice to just not buy from the ones breaking the law.
Now just imagine if price gouging was legal..
I guarantee you’d crying

Give FL back to the alligators and pythons

No-one is or has been crying. I've seen several fuel spikes in the last twenty years and didn't cry. It's only a temporary situation the market always goes back to normal.

Yep, that's what happens when the government creates price controls.
-
You obviously went off the rails..
Price gouging during a declared state of emergency is what the topic is about. -
What are the government price controls on fuel?
