I know you're former military, so you understand that for many of us, it's very difficult to get rid of the urge to keep moving and keep seeing new places.

Let's clarify some things. How many trucks do you have? You say you buy distressed companies, have lots of drivers, e.t.c. Then you say you have trucks leased to Landstar, or some other outfits. What is the point of buying companies then, it you don't have your own MC, why not just buy the trucks?
The things you say about pay, the way you run your business, some other things, everything just does not add up well. You either gotta have a huge operation with managers taking care of things, so you can spend all your time doing nothing and have time to constantly post on this forum, or you pretending to be someone who you are not.
So even though you definitely have knowledge about the industry, I think you are company driver with o/o experience, an o/o leased to someone or a retired guy keeping himself busy on the internet, but you are definitely not a huge business owner as you are trying to show.
Prove me wrong -
Run as fast as you can. 50% is horrible split

that's what they pay is 1099! i had to pay back 5,000 to IRS once working on a 1099,never again! the company payed the truck for about a month 15000.00 which they reported as my earnings, but i only made 2000.00 that month, was young and didn't know how leasing worked then! oh i set for 8 days while they tried to fix the truck in that month times and it was a new truck ! thanksBrandt Thanks this.

just turned down the O/O on that job! he pleaded about how after fuel we split 50/50, then talked to his company that he is paid 74% of the loads after their 24% deduction, which their ads says 75% to O/O And their ad says 25% to them! telling me their drivers are making 1200.00 (1099) boy it keeps changing!
reminds me of politicians ad used car salesmen.RedForeman Thanks this. -
