500 Pound Man Too Fat To Adopt

    This man was trying to adopt a family member. Many people in that same situation would try to do the same thing, whether or not they were in the military. I just worry about the slippery slope of a judge legislating what type of career is acceptable for a parent.

    I'm with the judge on this one.. they will keep people from adopting pets who do not prove they will tend to the animals.. the kids need attentive parents who are at home more than they are away. This is a case of what is best for the kids. I do not think that you find many long term OTR drivers that will not accept the fact that they have shortchanged their families in some way. The weight issue is relevant to a point, but the trucker issue was more relevant.

    I totally agree!
    But it has been posted isn't it better than nothing?
    So many kids just waiting for anything.
    Is foster home hopping any better than a parent and a half?
