    You explained it very well.

And I am good with that.

The small reason for endrosement not taking for doubles is because at that time my parents saw the little doubles everywhere and insisted I run for that kind of work. I had a national wanderlust for pure OTR work coast to coast etc in full 18 wheelers and no interest in the doubles for partly the parents and on the other part at that time the little single drive axle tractors getting stuck in winter among other problems.

I had the endorsements for eveyrhting else except passenger. I had exactly one interview as a prospective passenger bus driver for 50 souls regional haul and the owner essentially treated me very badly as a non qualified deaf person who uses hearing aids the way she wears glasses for example. That particular interview drove a nail in any future desire to touch a bus and induced a life time of making sure that issue is not going to be a problem again in this industry. (And it was not for the most part...) She is old enough that she probably has passed on thankfully allowing me to forgive and forget with the exception of writing this one post one time about it. When people choose to discriminate in the Maryland area, they discriminate. AND very badly.

That is one of the reasons I enjoy the south so very much, no one here gives a *&^% what your problems are as long you are on time with that truck. Literally.

Thank you for teaching me what you know about doubles. I learned something today and I like that.

But in exchange I had to do a touch for explaining why I take strong positions in life the way I do. Im pretty unique (And hard headed in that way...) There are hundreds of people I went to school with in my childhood who will never ever marry, never buy sell a home, never see the nation and literally live a workshop... socailist issued life folding evenlopes and medicated against temper tantrums against knowledge they do not possess. The lucky few such as myself managed to escape that culture then and I lost several hundred of my family to discrimination when got my Class A. They all collectively told me they will be g-d'ed if a deaf person is driving a 18 wheeler on their highway in Baltimore. (Those were a different time in those days so... a time of oppertunity in some ways, but the prices paid were high.)

I think thats quite enough from me about this post. I learned something from you and others and I think you had a taste of what it was in my time prior to becoming a trucker which was all I was going to be in life when many children did not even know what they ever wanted in life at all. (And some still dont.)

Well, sometimes ABF will run pups out of Baltimore down to my territory on a city run. XPO out of Seaford DE will do that too. There’s times when that isn’t really a bad idea.
    Don’t say that. ;)

Got a 20 skid order? Going to a construction site a longbox won’t fit into? Guess what you’re taking.

It would be either that or send 2 drivers in 2 straight trucks, and if there is a place nearby to break pups apart, it’s a good bet they’ll opt for that route.

    lagbrosdetmi Thanks this.
