Well deserved, truck drivers do this everyday even in work zones and I've been waiting to catch some karma on one of them.

Are we really surprised that the company dimed the driver?

The driver broke the law. But people are whining that his company turned over the evidence.

What if it was video of the driver raping someone?

Wow. Hope the driver is ok.
I'm sure the police saw a dashcam in the truck. The police ask the company for the video and by them releasing the video means they are throwing the driver under the buss? Looks to me the driver is already under the buss.

I don't see how giving information to the police is throwing anyone under the buss. How can this company protect the driver, when the driver didn't protect the company and obey the speed limit, or at least reasonably close to the speed limit.

The cops could have had a warrant for the video or for the ECM data .

happens all the time in serious accident investigations .

It’s called sarcasm. We already knew the driver dug his own grave at this point. He almost dug it for real.
Like I said, the title of the thread says it all!;)

Wonder what the insurance company will say now .. too much of this going on maybe they should deny a few claims

He went for a ride there. Though I bet the inside of his truck smells pretty bad.....courtesy of soiled tighty whities...........
