    I have 5ek 550,crank broke on back side of #6 rod journal,crank #4p-9121,what other cranks will work ,any help would be highly appreciated.

    I don,t have any part #s for ya but i think any crank from 5ek all the way upto 1lw would work, as long as its still a 40 pin ecm (single timming sensor). Did the engine give you any warnings before it broke??? Was it runnin weird or viberations?

    You can use any C15 crank up to 6NZ but on the later cranks the gear is different and you have to swap it over. Not sure about bridge or acert cranks.

    I was getting a slite vibraition in the gearshift, thinking I was having tranny proublems ,about 500 miles later it let go, vibrated,rattled baddddddddddddd

    I seen on pit pow site were you should replace damper also they have that balancer ring that goes behind the damper.I`m guessing the damper was never replaced

    Say away from 1LW 1 to 33000 serials, they had problems with crank failures. Try to find a 5EK or 6TS, should not have a problem.
