5th wheel jaw not staying open.

    First rebuild i did ,a very very long time ago,i steam cleaned without removing all the old grease.
    Lets just say i will remember that till the day i die.

    Looks like the handle is riding on the saddle mount and the slider and there are some rust colored witness marks. It should not be making contact with anything like that. Is it just the angle of that picture?
    The data tag plate that has been mentioned on a holland is usually on the outside left hand side ear behind the the pivot pin.
    Google Holland Hitch Co. Or SAF/Holland for info.

    The little plate that has all the info about your fith wheel.
    Modelnumber
    Serialnumber.
    Should be on the left side off the fith wheel plate itself,covered by old grease.
    In the picture you posted,that's the info about the support off the fith wheel.

    Yeah. It’s covered with grime. I’m going to try out a new local shop my next hometime and get it fixed. I don’t have a hoist to lift the plate off.

    You don't really need a hoist.
    Like someone has suggested,put wooden blocks on your chassis and tilt it over.
    Work on it and then tilt it back in place.
