Yeah. I hope I can order it separately. It would have been nice if they had included an exploded view with part numbers. I don’t even know what that particular spring is called.

I hope you can, I am sure you know how things work with parts, some times they make you buy the whole kit, when all you need is one thing...

I need one of those anyway. I just don’t know how I would attach it to the fifth wheel because it doesn’t seem to be any mounting points for it. Somehow it got on there so there must be a way to take it off.

I’ll bet there is somewhere in town that only sells springs and I would just have to bring the old one in there and compare it. I’m not gonna buy a $300 kit for one spring.

That may be possible. I don't blame you.

In this day and age why anyone wouldn’t be running a greaseless top plate is beyond me.

Last winter, I saw a truck with van trailer part ways in the ditch.

He tried turning Left at a intersection out in the country.

    Truck struggled to turn.

I asked the driver what happened.

Lots of #*>*£#!!!! About a greaseless fifth wheel and how he’s gonna throw it in the scrap.

I’ve never used a greaseless but would prefer to have one that can be greased.
