5th wheel question

    i have a reese 24k hitch my question is could i get by pullin around 30k

    I would not trust it. You get in a wreck and the police figure out what you did, they will have a field day with you.

    chances are it would work but as lovesthedrive said in the event of an accident they will tear you a new one.

    What type trailer are you pulling ? You should probably go to gooseneck .

    it doesnt matter if its a gooseneck or a fifth wheel, there is a reason it is stamped as a 24k hitch, yeah when they tested it, it probably broke at like 31,243 or something, but if it was me, i wouldnt want to be hoping and praying at every corner or stop that my trailer is still going to be behind me. the other thing i have to say is, yeh the load is say 29,670 lbs but that goes way up if you have to slam on the brakes or swerve or something.
