I always put impossible dispatch on initial edit. because sni computer calculation makes virtually every assignment impossible according to its math and timing.

But they aren't judging you by the bogus computer made up times, by putting impossible dispatch you are saying you can't meet the customer expectations.

no I am not. virtually all my deliveries occur between 0700 and 1700. too often to count computer calculates my arrival between 0000 and 0700.

nor does computer calculation account for navigo routing or actual routing and time off day through a given city. in addition many customers are appt only which isnt accounted for. too often I say when I CAN make it and dont get confirmation til I am part way there. so I have to edit based of customer expectations.

in my experience there is inaccurate load or customer information in EVERY assignment. or completely missing.

^^^ And this is why we need clarification from an actual-never before seen-planner, I always hear about them but has anyone physically seen the creator of TheMatrix?

frankly dude, I dont give a #### anymore what they judge me on. I do my job. it gets there on time or as soon as I can if I run into a back up.

my biggest gripe now with bonus is fuel. has virtually nothing to do with need. they base it arbitrarily on taxes. driving 22 miles on a full set of tanks do not require a suggested fueling of 140 gal.

I am gonna let you in on a little secret. The computer generated eta is there for the load planner and your dbl to tell if you actually changed it before making it active. There is no calculations to it. That is why the time is always a weird time like 0918. You can't trip plan to the minute so you guesstimate to the nearest 15 minutes, like 0945. Hence, when you trip plan and set your eta, it is driver related, you are telling the planner based on the info you have, and the hours you have, you can be there at xxxx time.

interesting then I have seen its based off of 11 hrs driving from calculated pu to delivery. pu time has no basis in reality.

doesnt matter though. I keep moving often enough with permission the consignee can get it a day early and my DSR finds me something dedicated or system to keep me moving.

so what I am doing seems to satisfy all concerned not in GB. for me thats good enough.

    Waggledaddy and gentleroger Thank this.
