Nope. Nothing. It's actually just a transport thing. I thought that was why. I'm moving bumper car ride for a carnival. That's 4 tickets now. Can you believe it? I remember when I was a kid it was only 1 ticket!!!!

You may have to push the button twice for it to work but you can cycle through all your messages. If nothing happens, it's because you have a turn coming up and the navigation disables it.

You have to have paperwork or the dot man will have a field day writing tickets. Don't you have any blank bills to make out your own?

As for the sandals, that truck is your place of employment, dress like you are going to work, not like you are going to the beach. Have some respect for yourself and your profession. Work boots or shoes, dickie style pants or clean jeans that fit properly, clean shirt with collar or plain Tshirt, no printed tshirts. Now once you go off duty, feel free to kick the work shoes off and put on some comfortable clothes if you want cause you are off duty. But when on duty, dress appropriately. You wouldn't show up to work in any other blue collar field wearing baggy pants and sandals.

yep. gotta press the text to speech button upper right first to make sure its engaged otherwise messages wont verbalize. click the message icon then the center direction button will need to be pressed twice while in motion. just make sure you have a little volume in place.

Why do you feel the need to lecture a driver on how to conduct himself? If YOU like to dress that way, knock yourself out. He can wear sandals, fingerless gloves, or a tuxedo and top hat if he wants. Who the eff cares????

OP, I feel your woes, I run team, and on the team board, unless I'm in a big market, I have long deadhead in between trips. Two weeks ago I got lucky and booked two loads with 10 dh miles.

I had planned to deliver the first load around 0100 and get a few hours sleep until my next load at 0600. This is expedited freight so once your loaded, your not allowed to stop for more than an hour, which means sleeping on a moving truck for 2k miles to the north west. It is a luxury to sleep while the truck is parked, and I was looking forward to it.

It was in your neck of the woods, near Memphis. We get to the receiver, and nope no empties. So the wonderful box team sends me 40 miles to the west Memphis oc. I was hot, I had planned to sleep and actually had 2 loads with 10 miles dh and now I have to drive back to Memphis???? So I angrily headed back to the oc and when I get there, yep, no empties. Yes people/corps make mistakes, but how can a multi billion dollar company not know what trailers are at their OWN FACILITY????

Why would they send me there? I was told they just make their "best guess" to where you are, send another exception. Huh? Best guess? So I wait and nothing. I'm soooo tired, I lay down and wake up 20 min later. Gotta go into da hood in Memphis and get a trailer. Get there and the gates have changed. Guard tells me to turn around and around 3 stop lights and make a left to the other side. Uggh! Get there and grab an empty, get to the exit gate and where's your gate pass? Nobody told me I needed a gate pass? Guard will not give me my license back without a gate pass. I have steam blowing out my ears at this point. I have to back out 1/8 mile to go back and get a gate pass. Get the pass, and finally leave. Get out of the hood, and make my way to my next shipper and arrive at 0530 and my load is ready. Dropped and hooked and left. Never got to sleep that night, lost 41/2 hours off my log and 110 miles of free driving and fuel.

Thanks box team. Hope you had a good sleep that morning while you left me hanging.

That's just one story, oh I have more...

Is the no shorts rule only for orientation or does it apply to when you're driving too?

I've never had an issue. Just don't drive and call them. Or answer their call. I'm sure I've been on duty and talked to them. No issues. They stress some stuff in there that really doesn't matter. Overall I like it here. Just some gripes I have that I think they could do better at.
