All my jeans are baggy. They're not hanging off my rear baggy. I wear a belt. But loose fitting. I wear printed shirts. Some Adidas. Some with a funny saying. I was heading to the diner as I said. Which I would assume speaks for itself that I was off duty. I'll wear what I want, when I want, where I want, on my time. On duty I go by the dress code they provided for taining. Pants, belt, tshirt and the slip resistant shoes they provided. I did ask my DBL if cargo/dickey type shorts were ok on hot days and he said it was fine. I only have 2 pair so I wear them occasionally. Furthermore, my post wasn't for your ####### advice to be a better dressed schneider employee. When you own the company and make the rules I'll dress your way. I've been in the office profession for the last 8 years wearing a suit and tie. I know how to dress for the occasion. I really don't need to prove this to you.

Just offered some career advice my man. Sharing a bit of what 20+ years has taught me, But it's clear you don't want it so I'll take the next exit off this thread.

this summer the only time I have worn pants instead of shorts is one plant I go to that requires pants. soon as I seal the trailer I change back to shorts once back in the cab.Cledus Snow and Waggledaddy Thank this. -

This has seriously been the most demoralizing week of my life. What a cluster F. I don't even know what to think anymore. I seriously think they are messing with me on purpose at this point. I leave my live unload that took 4 hours. Giving me 8 hours to go 30 miles to Atlanta OC to drop and hook to my load going to West Memphis OC. I drop and do the search for my load. Search the entire yard. Not here. I look at the number again and think that sounds familiar. It's the same exact trailer that had the gash in the side that I dropped at the yard in SC to get fixed. Weird. So I call the pros. I explain I looked for the trailer it's not here. But I think it's a mistake because it's the same exact trailer that I dropped. Dude on the phone was talking and I couldn't hear him. I said "are you talking to me? Cause I can't hear you." He catches an attitude with me. "Yeah I'm talking to you I'm talking into the phone I don't know why you can't hear me." "Well I can hear you now. What did you say?" Says yours truly ignoring the attitude. He says he's locating the trailer and it looks like it's in Greenville SC. I said then it hasn't left the shop. You might want to check to make sure that trailer is assigned to this assignment. I believe it's a mistake. He asks me what I'm talking about so I go through the whole thing over again. Finally he understands finds the right trailer and says it's not here yet it's still 5 hours away. Of course it is. Why wouldn't it be? He contacts CS and gets me another load that will be here in 2 hours instead.
Delay, I'm not worried about. I get it. Is it frustrating? Yeah. But I'm not even bothered by it to be honest. The plan was to be home tonight. So I'm home tomorrow. No big deal. My kids come home from FL so I used guaranteed time at home for this weekend. I told them it was fine that I'm home tomorrow instead. I planned for this. They get home tomorrow. Not today. No worries. The severe lack of organization. Then the lack of understanding when something is explained and having to explain it again. And sometimes again after that. Just ridiculous.
I haven't mentioned my issues with tuition reimbursement. My intention of this blog/post/thread (whatever you want to call it) was to give a real and accurate representation of what to expect, the good, bad and ugly of trucking and or with Schneider. With that being said since I started here I've gotten the run around about setting up my tuition reimbursement. One guy here I've tried talking to face to face, on the phone, left messages and sent emails. It's his job to do this. Or at least that's what he said in the presentation. He's ignored multiple phone calls, messages and emails. Not once has he requested the information that he needs from my school. Then I check in once again this week, Tuesday if I remember correctly, I get a snap response he's on vacation. But a contact for someone else. She's been very helpful. She was actually my recruiter. I talked highly about her before. Well, she's having issues with my loan company and such. I call them and I'm having issues. They want me to sign this or that and fax it. I'm on the road. Then I find out yesterday it has to be in by Monday. That's the cut off day. Man.... poof!!!! My head is exploding. I can't do anything out here. Just a joke. So I'll just wait for my load. Get as close to home as possible trying very hard not to find a nice bridge to drive off of lol. My Schneider advocacy is running thin. I'm thinking about running around the Atlanta OC with nothing but sandals and the vest. Hopefully I'll run into that guy that doesn't like it so I can punch him in his throat....
